Our students will enjoy a varied and comprehensive social and wellbeing programme during their course giving them opportunities to explore the local town, make new friends, and have fun.
Activities Wellbeing Programme
When not studying our students can take part in various social activities within our wellbeing programme. All wellbeing activities are carefully chosen to allow opportunities for students to have fun, re-energise and relax. Students will choose their wellbeing activities on arrival at the college.
Wellbeing activities may include:
Recreational sports including football, swimming & tennis
Art classes such as painting, drawing & sketching
Reading & conversation clubs
Dance and drama activities
Nature walks, logic games and challenges
Eton College is famous for games, there are even some games that were invented by them and can only be played there. Students at SBC at Eton College will have the opportunity to learn more about the famous Eton Games and have a go at playing one of them!
SBC at Eton College is within walking distance of the town of Windsor. Students will have the opportunity to explore their local surroundings and learn more about the town.
Windsor Orientation & River Cruise Students will see highlights of Eton and Windsor during a team treasure trail around the town. Afterwards, students can enjoy charming views of Eton College and Windsor Castle on a sightseeing river cruise along the Thames.
Windsor Castle & Souvenir Shopping The afternoon is spent exploring Windsor castle, one of the official residences of Her Majesty The Queen. The day ends with leisure time to explore the town and buy souvenirs.
Students will go on three full day excursions during their course, including trips to London, Oxford and Brighton.
This excursion starts at the beautiful Kew Gardens, where students can explore the world’s most famous botanical gardens. Afterwards, students move on to Knightsbridge to discover the wonders of one of 3 renowned museums: Natural History Museum, Science Museum or V&A Museum. Students will enjoy shopping on London’s famous Oxford Street and finish their incredible day out in the capital with dinner at a London restaurant.
Oxford Academic Excursion
A day exploring the beautiful City of Spires and learning why it is one of the most famous university cities in the world. Students will start the day with a guided walking tour to discover the history of the city and its many university colleges. At the end of the tour, students will gather in the historic Oxford Union, famous for hosting speakers and debates for nearly 200 years. Here they will receive an academic lecture on the fascinating history of Oxford University. In the afternoon, students will choose between continuing to explore the rich history of Oxford at one of its many museums, or enjoying leisure time at the new Westgate shopping centre.
