Summer Boarding Courses at Eton College takes place at one of the UK’s leading independent schools. Eton was founded in 1440 by King Henry VI to provide free education to 70 poor boys who would then go on to King’s College, Cambridge University, which he founded 1441. Throughout the last 6 centuries Eton has been one of the UK’s leading independent schools, growing steadily until its present size of 1300 boys. Eton counts 20 British Prime Ministers and members of the Royal Family amongst its alumni as well as many famous actors, authors, Olympians, scientists and explorers.
The college is located in the Berkshire town of Eton, just a short walk from the historic town of Windsor; most famous for it’s Royal Castle. Just 15 minutes’ drive from Heathrow airport and less than one hour from central London, the college is the ideal summer academy location.
The accommodation at Eton College comprises of two boarding houses – one for boys and one for girls. Students will have their own single study-bedroom, with shared bathroom facilities. Both boarding houses have comfortable social space and facilities in which students can relax during House Time.
